Support across the fan base, alumni, and community has been palpable since the naming of Gerry McNamara '06 as the head coach Syracuse Men's Basketball on March 24. The hiring of Coach McNamara coincided with Syracuse University's annual Giving Day and donations poured in with 2,198 donors coming together to raise $288,603 in less than 24 hours.

The immediate show of support by the masses on Giving Day has inspired Vinny Lobdell to create the 'Back G-Mac' Challenge. Lobdell has generously offered to match all donations to the Syracuse Men's Basketball Head Coach's Fund from April 1 through the closing of the Transfer Portal on April 21 up to $50,000 for a grand total of $100,000.

In today's college athletics climate, resources have never been more critical to a team's ability to compete for championships. We are incredibly grateful to those who have already made a gift to support Syracuse Men's Basketball with a gift on Giving Day or by purchasing/renewing season tickets. It takes all of us to build a championship team. In the words of Coach G-Mac, "Let's Get this thing going!"
